Bear Paw Camp – A Christ-Centered retreat center Experience less than 25-mins from Idaho

Nestled near northern Idaho, Bear Paw Camp is surrounded by the serene beauty of Bonner County, where mountain ranges, quiet lakes, and pine-covered hills create the perfect setting for rest and renewal. Just outside the town of Priest River and a short drive from Sandpoint, the camp offers a peaceful escape where campers can disconnect from everyday noise and experience God in the stillness of nature.

The surrounding area is full of outdoor experiences. Hike or bike through the stunning Kaniksu National Forest, paddle the pristine waters of Priest Lake, or take in the views at Schweitzer Mountain—Idaho’s largest ski area, also open in summer for hiking and chairlift rides. Whether you’re seeking adventure or quiet reflection, God’s creation is all around.

At the center of this beauty is Bear Paw Camp—a Christ-centered retreat built for youth, church groups, and ministries seeking real connection and spiritual transformation. It’s more than just a beautiful place—it’s a place where lives are changed.

Our mission is simple: that every camper will have an undeniable encounter with Christ. Through worship, small groups, prayer, and time in nature, Bear Paw Camp creates space for lasting faith, deep friendships, and moments with God that stay with you long after you leave.

The staff was absolutely fantastic, the food was delicious and if I had any questions or needed any help there was always someone there to guide me. I brought my kids to Men’s Summit 2025 and we had such a great time and really came into the presence of God. Thank you so much Bear Paw staff!
